What this site stores in your browser, why, and how to change it. Strictly necessary cookies are loaded on first visit; everything else requires your consent.

1. Contact

Questions about this policy or the cookies we use should be sent to contact@platform-node.one. We respond to specific cookie questions within 10 business days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission. Cookie-related complaints from individuals located in the European Economic Area may also be raised with their national supervisory authority. We do not require account creation to ask a cookie question — a short email is enough.

2. Categories

We use four categories of cookies and equivalent storage. Strictly necessary: required for the website to load, the consent banner to remember your choice, and authenticated session management. These cannot be opted out of without breaking core function. Functional: remember UI choices such as the listing layout you prefer. Analytics: anonymous traffic patterns, opt-in only. Authentication: secure session cookies for the customer platform; not used on the marketing site. Each category is listed individually in the consent settings dialog with the exact cookie names, durations, and purposes so you can decide per-category rather than all-or-nothing.

3. Third-parties

On the marketing site we run a privacy-respecting analytics service (Plausible, hosted in the EU) which does not set tracking cookies and does not share data with advertising networks. We do not embed social-media sharing buttons that send data on page load; share affordances open in a new tab when clicked. Our customer platform uses Auth0 for authentication, which sets session cookies under our domain. We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or Google Analytics on the marketing site. The third-party list is updated when it changes; the current list is included in the consent settings dialog.

4. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files set in your browser when you load a site, used to remember information across visits or pages. Equivalent technologies — local storage, session storage, indexed databases — store information directly in the browser without a network round-trip. Both work the same way from a privacy perspective: the site reads back what it previously wrote. Some are essential for a site to function (without them you cannot stay logged in), some are useful (remembering you prefer a list view to a grid), and some are used to build profiles for advertising or measurement (we do not use these on our marketing site). The detail of which kind we use is in the categories section.

5. Preferences

You can change your preferences at any time. The "Cookie preferences" link in the footer reopens the consent dialog with your current selections, where you can opt in or out per category. Browser-level controls — including private browsing mode, third-party cookie blocking, and the Do Not Track header — are honored where they apply; we treat a Do Not Track signal as an opt-out from analytics for the session. Clearing browser data resets all preferences to defaults; you will see the consent banner again on the next visit. Where law requires explicit consent (for example for analytics in the EEA), the analytics cookies are off by default until you opt in.

6. Consent

Strictly necessary cookies are loaded on first visit; everything else requires consent. Consent is collected through the banner you saw on first visit, recorded against a randomly-generated identifier (so we can honor it on subsequent visits) and stored in local storage in your browser, not on a server. Consent expires after 12 months and the banner reappears so you can refresh your choice. Withdrawing consent has no effect on prior processing under that consent and does not affect site availability. Where you reach the site through a regional gateway with stricter consent rules, those rules apply for the session.
